Meet Rossini – A Big, Handsome Rhode Island Red Looking for the Right Flock
Rossini is a 2½-year-old Rhode Island Red rooster with an impressive build and a calm, confident personality. He's a healthy, mature boy looking for a home that can appreciate a rooster with a strong presence.

Rossini was originally purchased as what was believed to be a pullet, but as time went on, he proved everyone wrong! Now that he's fully mature, he's simply too large for smaller or petite hens and does best with a good-sized flock of standard-sized girls that can comfortably handle his attention.
You may notice some feather loss in his tail. This is cosmetic only—he has already been treated for mites and dewormed and is otherwise doing well.
Rossini would make an excellent addition to a farm or backyard flock looking for a mature rooster to watch over his ladies. He's searching for a home where his size is an advantage, not a challenge.

Our Second Chance Rooster program gives these beautiful boys a fresh start. Whether they were the “extra” in a backyard flock or simply didn’t fit in, they still deserve a chance to live out their lives safely, surrounded by hens and peace.
We treat every rooster with care:

These roosters are placed strictly in no-kill homes. If you’re looking for a processing bird, this is not the boy for you. We’re committed to finding each of these roos a safe, forever flock—not a final stop.
While we do our best to observe and evaluate the temperament of each rooster, we don’t always have their full history.

We generally call or text shortly after an order is placed to schedule a pick up time, or you can give us a call to schedule sooner.
Online orders are reserved upon purchase. For our started Pullets & Layers, orders may be held for up to 72 hours while pickup arrangements are made. Orders not picked up within the agreed timeframe may be subject to cancellation or restocking at our discretion.
Customers must remain in the designated parking areas during pickup. Please leave all carriers and transportation containers in your vehicle. We will bring your birds to you and assist with loading to help maintain flock biosecurity.
