Salt has quite the story! He and his brother were adopted at just one week old after my daughter's 1st grade class hatched them as part of a school project. We hand-raised these boys, never expecting they'd both start practicing their crowing! Unfortunately, our city doesn't allow roosters, so as heartbreaking as it is, we're determined to find Salt the wonderful home he deserves.

Salt's gorgeous splash coloring makes him a standout wherever he goes. Like his brother Pepper, he has a straight comb, leading us to believe they may be Old English Game Bantams, but since we don't know their parentage, we can't say for certain.
He's still a young cockerel with plenty of growing left to do, and his personality will continue to develop as he matures. Because he's been handled since he was tiny, he's comfortable around people and would do well with a family willing to continue working with him.

OurSecond Chance Roosterprogram gives these beautiful boys a fresh start. Whether they were the “extra” in a backyard flock or simply didn’t fit in, they still deserve a chance to live out their lives safely, surrounded by hens and peace.
We treat every rooster with care:

These roosters are placedstrictly in no-kill homes. If you’re looking for a processing bird, this is not the boy for you. We’re committed to finding each of these roos a safe, forever flock—not a final stop.

ONLINE ORDER POLICY
Online orders are reserved upon purchase. For our started Pullets & Layers, orders may be held for up to 72 hours while pickup arrangements are made. Orders not picked up within the agreed timeframe may be subject to cancellation or restocking at our discretion.
BIOSECURITY NOTICE
Customers must remain in the designated parking areas during pickup. Please leave all carriers and transportation containers in your vehicle. We will bring your birds to you and assist with loading to help maintain flock biosecurity.
