Serama Bantams are a breed originating from Malaysia. They are thought to have come about by crossing Japanese and Malaysia bantam lines.
"Ayam" meaning 'pretty' and "Serama" after Rama, the title of thr Kings of Thailand. The breed doesn't have a specific breed standard although some standards are emerging. They compete against each other in open table top competitions, or "Beauty contests".
Seramas are officially the smallest breed of chicken I. The world. They are known for their assertive and confidence stance and still being calm and manageable. Most can be handled easily and show no aggression.
