Some breeds thrive in small backyard coops, while others need room to roam. Certain birds are quiet and docile — perfect for families with children — while others are more independent or protective. Climate matters too: heat-hardy breeds will fare better in Texas summers, while some ducks and geese handle cold snaps with ease.
